Riverstone’s 2021: A Stellar Year

December 19, 2021

For Riverstone, 2021 has been a year to remember. Now home to more than 1,000 resident families, the 2,000-acre master-planned community just north of Fresno has achieved a number of significant milestones for the year—and 2022 promises to continue the trend.

Now open, Riverstone’s Stone Creek Elementary features 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces and an outdoor amphitheater.
Located directly across the street from Riverstone’s collection of homes, Riverwalk is planned to include condominiums, offices, restaurants, retail stores and a movie theater. Image is an artist’s rendition.

Early in 2021, Riverstone won the CVLUX Community of the Year Award, which was its third consecutive win. The community has been nominated again to receive the coveted accolade, which is a prestigious award determined by the voting public that honors only the best of the best in the Central Valley.

“The notion of home has been so important this year, and we’re honored to play a part in helping families make it a reality,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “The momentum we’ve enjoyed in 2021 is sure to continue in 2022 as we introduce new homes, amenities and experiences that highlight Riverstone’s ‘Look Forward to Life’ promise.”

The community’s exciting, new lifestyle retail destination, Riverwalk, is coming soon—a highly anticipated future development that will span 50 acres and more than one million square feet of commercial, Class-A office and retail space in a dynamic, indoor-outdoor setting.

Now open at Riverwalk is the first Madera County location of Dutch Bros. Coffee, a much-loved brand with Oregon roots that serves specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, freezes, teas and more. As construction continues at Riverwalk, several additional tenants are scheduled to open this winter and into the new year including Papi’s Mex Grill, Fresh Fill and Judy’s Donuts.

Other notable Riverwalk tenants on the way include Blast & Brew, an American eatery and tap house. Its famous sister company, Me-n-Ed’s, will be located right next door to offer delivery and take-out of their award-winning, brick-oven-baked pizza.

Riley’s Brewing Company is likely to become another Riverwalk favorite, which is envisioned to offer a unique, two-story design concept that will be a beautiful new showcase for Riley’s well-loved offering of truly distinctive food, brews, spirits and specialty beverages.

Riverstone’s brand-new TK-6th grade onsite school—Stone Creek Elementary—opened in time for the 2021 school year and is currently available to all families living throughout the Central Valley. Representing a milestone in academic achievement, the school welcomed more than 300 students on its opening day.

Belonging to the award-winning Golden Valley Unified School District, Stone Creek’s innovative 15.5-acre campus is conveniently situated just a short walk or bike ride away from Riverstone’s new-home collections. The new school features tech-forward 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, an outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex with the highest-quality ball fields and playgrounds.

For outdoor family fun, Riverstone has designed a private hiking and biking trail network, which is currently under construction and will be an exclusive amenity available only to Riverstone residents and accessible via a special key fob. Bridges, future ponds and even some hidden surprises await on the private trails, which are envisioned to eventually link all of Riverstone’s residential districts together. The trails are the perfect opportunity for residents to rent bikes from the community’s Gear Barn outfitters cabin and go cruising through the beautiful farmland located just beyond Riverstone’s homes.

A wide variety of new homes has always been a Riverstone hallmark. In fact, it is unmatched in the region. The current new-home collections feature designs from six different homebuilders—and even more possibilities are planned for 2022, giving home-buying families plenty of options when it comes to realizing an American Dream that perfectly fits on size, style and budget.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply, Stone Creek Elementary school belonging to the award-winning Golden Valley Unified School District, and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future Riverstone amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and much more.
