The Season for Riverwalk Dining

December 16, 2022

For many families who call the Valley home, the Holidays are a time of joyful reunion, unforgettable memories and wonderful feasts at home with all the trimmings. Yet it’s also a season for dining out with family and friends once everyone has had their fill of Holiday leftovers. Dining out is an easy proposition for those living at Madera County’s Riverstone, with a variety of restaurants just around the corner from home at the community’s Riverwalk retail destination.

Offering a new quick-serve market and a variety of fast casual dining options, the Riverwalk retail destination brings everyday convenience and great food close to home.
Featuring a contemporary-agrarian design aesthetic accented by creative landscaping and water features, Riverwalk is planned to include condominiums, offices, restaurants, retail stores and a movie theater.

The go-to spot when craving Mexican is Papi’s Mex Grill, a local favorite that has been serving authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine in the Valley for nearly a decade. Papi’s focuses on grilled Mexican dishes such as fajitas, seafood specialties and amazing tacos—and the restaurant is also very well known for its amazing margaritas with all-day happy hours on Sundays and Mondays.

Right next door is Blast & Brew, an American eatery and tap house. The ever-popular restaurant is known for its innovative comfort food including epic burgers, and a wide selection of self-pour taps serving a variety of local and regional craft beers and wines. The eatery is also known for its intimate full-service bar inviting you to a fun and dynamic atmosphere. And to top things off, Blast & Brew’s famous sister company, Me-n-Ed’s Pizza, is situated right next door offering delivery and take-out for those who want to enjoy the delicious, award-winning, California-style brick-oven-baked pizza in the comfort of their own homes.

It's easy to grab a seasonal Holiday brew at Riverwalk’s Dutch Bros. Coffee, a much-loved brand with Oregon roots serving specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, freezes, teas and more. For those craving a sweet treat, Judy’s Donuts is steps away, offering its everyday collection of bars, twists, cakes, buttermilks, French crullers, classic glazed donuts and more.

Freshness is always convenient at Riverwalk’s Fresh Fill, a new modern market offering fresh, health-conscious food, snack and beverage options in a fast and convenient manner. The market’s in-store Juice It Up! raw juice bar serves a variety of its popular smoothies, its nutrient-packed bowls and its many raw juice options—all made with fresh ingredients and superfruits designed to promote a healthier lifestyle.

Another restaurant on the way is Riley’s Brewing Company, which is planned to be located near the already-constructed portion of Riverwalk on the southwest corner of Business 41 and Root Creek Parkway. A unique, two-story design concept is envisioned for the new restaurant and brewing facility, which will be a beautiful new showcase for Riley’s well-loved offering of truly distinctive food, brews, spirits and specialty beverages.

Offering an ever-growing variety of dining options conveniently close to home is one reason behind Riverstone’s fifth consecutive nomination to receive the CVLUX Community of the Year Award. Riverstone won the award in 2019, 2020 and 2021, which is a prestigious accolade determined by the voting public that honors only the best of the best in the Central Valley. This year, Riverstone has been nominated in two categories: Best Community and Best Shopping Center for its next-door Riverwalk.

Those who wish to vote for Riverstone and Riverwalk may cast their ballots online by visiting Voting is open until Tuesday, January 31st, 2023. Winners will be announced at the Luxury Awards celebration in March 2023.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Coming soon is the one-million-square-foot Riverwalk mixed-use lifestyle retail destination.
