The Lodge at Riverstone is a Clubhouse Like No Other

November 19, 2017

From day one, the 2,000-acre Riverstone was envisioned as a different kind of new-home community. Nowhere is this commitment more evident than within the stylish confines of Riverstone’s just-opened, one-of-a-kind community clubhouse known as The Lodge.

The expansive grounds of The Lodge at Riverstone feature an outdoor bar as well as comfortable gathering places surrounding stylish firepits.
Designed as the jumping-off point for adventures in every season, Riverstone’s Gear Barn offers a variety of outdoor gear exclusively for residents’ on- and off-site recreational fun.

Inspired by the magnificence of the West’s National Park lodges of yesteryear and expressing a distinctive architectural style the architect calls ‘deconstructed agrarian industrialism’, The Lodge at Riverstone features open, exposed beams, grand windows for inspired views, and authentic building materials that are permanent and lasting.

Within the expansive interior spaces, residents are free to enjoy an array of exceptional amenities including a Great Room and flexible gathering places with WiFi, a demonstration kitchen, and a state-of-the-art Fitness Center with advanced exercise equipment. Just outside, The Lodge features a resort-style pool and spa with poolside cabanas, a children’s pool, an outdoor bar with firepit conversation areas, a community garden and a Gear Barn outfitter’s cabin featuring a variety of gear available for homeowners’ on- and off-site adventures. In addition, a Concierge is stationed in The Lodge to plan community-wide events and smaller gatherings.

The creatively designed Lodge is the centerpiece of Riverstone’s Lodge District, which includes two community parks (with three more parks coming soon), a number of hiking and biking trails, and brand-new collections of stylish, innovative homes from D.R. Horton, Lennar Homes and McCaffrey Homes.

Construction of Phases 3 and 4 in the Lodge District has started. Once completed, this will provide a total of 860 homesites. Homebuilder D.R. Horton is starting construction in the Lodge District on two new model centers, one for Stillwater at Riverstone and the other for The Summit at Riverstone. Also in the Lodge District is a new collection of homes from Lennar, one of the nation’s leading and most respected homebuilders. For more information on the new homes from D.R. Horton and Lennar, interested homebuyers should visit the Welcome Center within The Lodge at Riverstone, or go to www.RiverstoneCA.com and add their name to the Interest List.

Future planned amenities in the Lodge District include a community farm and an elementary school belonging to the award-winning Golden Valley Unified School District. Anticipated to open in time for the 2021 school year, the future school is planned to accommodate 625 students and feature 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, a large outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex.

“For all the families who call Riverstone home, The Lodge has already become a favorite neighborhood hangout,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “It’s everything we imagined it to be—a great place a short walk away from most homes where people can hit the gym, take a swim or kick back around the outdoor firepits with friends.”

Adds Todd Larner, architect of The Lodge from William Hezmalhalch Architects, “It was important for us to create a welcoming, gracious gathering place that felt like an extension of people’s homes. The Lodge has a contemporary-agrarian style—but it feels like a timeless, historic mountain lodge that’s always comfortable. Without question, enjoying all the family-oriented experiences at The Lodge is one of the best things about living at Riverstone.”

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes, as well as commercial and mixed-use space including office, service and retail. Amenities at Riverstone are anticipated to include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, multiple community clubhouses, hiking and biking trails, a dog park, a community farm, historic olive and citrus groves, a sustainable water supply, and a number of on-site schools.
