The Sociable Side of Riverstone

October 23, 2022

An ongoing calendar of lively events and activities has always been a hallmark of life at Riverstone, the 2,000-acre master-planned community just north of Fresno. With fall officially in the air and Halloween on the way, the community’s sociable fun and camaraderie has been in full swing for all of October.

The outdoor firepit at The Lodge was the setting for Riverstone’s recent Fireside Soiree, an open-air event that featured the acoustic stylings of musician, Lance Rodriguez.
This month’s Halloween Movie Night at the Lodge Amphitheater featured a showing of Hocus Pocus 2 with delicious fare from a roundup of local food trucks.

A fall-themed Paint Night took place earlier this month at The Lodge, a fun and festive get-together with food and drink that gave residents hands-on instruction on how to create their own pumpkin-inspired painting that would make for a thoughtful gift or look gorgeous in their Riverstone homes.

Fireside Soiree, an 18+ event, was a delightful night under the stars around the firepits at The Lodge. People relaxed and spent quality time in the company of friends and family while enjoying an acoustic set from featured musician, Lance Rodriguez.

Round 3 of the Riverstone Cornhole Tournament recently took place, a round-robin competition complete with food truck fare and drinks that paired up residents with randomized teammates for a chance to win exciting prizes.

“It seems everybody needs a good dose of sociable fun every so often, and we’re happy to offer it in abundance,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “It’s wonderful to see so many families coming out to enjoy each other’s company and take part in creative celebrations that seem to put a smile on everyone’s face.”

Residents grabbed their blankets and lawn chairs earlier this month and headed to the Lodge Amphitheater for Halloween Movie Night featuring a showing of Hocus Pocus 2 with tasty creations from a roundup of local food trucks, while the 21-and-older crowd kicked up their heels during Salsa Dancing Night, a lively evening of salsa lessons followed by social dancing featuring a live DJ.

More recently, a special afternoon of luxury and pampering was enjoyed during Facials with Shisheido. Hosted by expert consultants from Shisheido at Macy’s Fashion Fair Mall in Fresno, the event treated residents to complimentary facials from one of the brand’s luxury skincare lines.

Yet, the biggest and most-talked-about Riverstone event will undoubtedly be the community’s upcoming Trunk or Treat “spooktacular” scheduled for the evening of October 28th. Residents who participate will deck out their cars’ trunks (or golf carts) in festive decorations and hand out candy to the community’s littlest trick-or-treaters. A hands-down Riverstone favorite, the event is anticipated to feature fun for all—including giveaways, special characters, a live DJ, life-size games, balloon animals, face painting, food and drinks for purchase, and much more.

A strong sense of community is one of the best-known aspects of Riverstone, and it may have influenced its fifth consecutive nomination to receive a CVLUX Luxury Award, a prestigious accolade determined by the voting public that honors only the best of the best in the Central Valley. This year, Riverstone has been nominated for Best Community and its next-door Riverwalk has been nominated for Best Shopping Center. Those who wish to vote may cast their ballots online by visiting www.cvlux.com/voting. Voting is open until Tuesday, January 31st, 2023. Winners will be announced at the Luxury Awards celebration in March 2023.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Coming soon is the one-million-square-foot Riverwalk mixed-use lifestyle retail destination. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and much more.
