Riverstone Nominated for Fourth CVLUX Award

October 3, 2021

The award-winning life continues at Riverstone. The 2,000-acre master-planned community has just been nominated for the fourth consecutive year to receive the CVLUX Community of the Year Award. Riverstone won the award in 2019, 2020 and 2021, which is a prestigious accolade determined by the voting public that honors only the best of the best in the Central Valley.

The Lodge at Riverstone is a resort-style community clubhouse carefully designed with a story of its creation around every corner. Upon entering the grand entrance, the ceiling is decorated with reclaimed beams that were once part of the Port of Oakland before its disassembly.
Now open, Riverstone’s Stone Creek Elementary features 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces and an outdoor amphitheater.

Those who wish to vote for Riverstone may cast their ballots online by visiting www.cvlux.com/vote. Voting will continue through Friday, December 10th, 2021. Winners will be announced at the Luxury Awards celebration in January.

“This fourth consecutive nomination feels great…and we’re obviously very excited about the recognition,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “The timing couldn’t be better with all the momentum we’re seeing at Riverstone. We now have 1,000 homeowners and their families, extended families or friends, and the vision of 6,578 homes is starting to take shape. The new year has even more to bring with our now-open elementary school, upcoming trail system and future Riverwalk retail destination. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported us over these past three years, including the voting public as well as our hardworking staff members and homebuilder partners who make Riverstone a great place to call home.”

A strong commitment to quality education is one of the reasons behind Riverstone’s award-winning ways. The community’s brand-new TK-6th school, Stone Creek Elementary, is now open—and it welcomed more than 300 students recently on opening day. Situated only a short walk or bike ride away from Riverstone’s neighborhoods of homes, the innovative campus features tech-forward 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, an outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex.

Stone Creek Elementary belongs to the award-winning Golden Valley Unified, which is one of the highest performing school districts in the Central Valley.

The first section of Riverstone’s private hiking and biking trail network is currently under construction, which will be an exclusive amenity available only to Riverstone residents and accessible via a special key fob. Bridges, future ponds and even some hidden surprises await on the private trails, which are envisioned to eventually link all of Riverstone’s residential districts together. The trails are the perfect opportunity for residents to rent bikes from the community’s Gear Barn outfitters cabin and go cruising through the beautiful farmland located just beyond Riverstone’s homes.

The first tenants of Riverwalk—the next-door, one-million-square-foot retail destination—are getting ready to open this Fall, and include Dutch Bros. Coffee, Papi’s Mex Grill, Judy’s Donuts and Blast & Brew, an American eatery and tap house.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Coming soon is the one-million-square-foot Riverwalk mixed-use lifestyle retail destination. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and much more.
