Another CVLUX Nomination for Riverstone

September 14, 2019

The 2,000-acre master-planned community of Riverstone was honored to be named the winner of last year’s CVLUX Community of the Year Award—and Riverstone has just been nominated to receive it again this year.

The Lodge at Riverstone’s resort-style pool and children’s pool are both ideal for refreshing family fun. Residents can also lounge in style within comfortable poolside cabanas.
Just a short walk or bike ride away from Riverstone’s homes, Adventure Park offers play structures, climbing boulders, three different slides and grassy areas for all kinds of kid-sized fun.

Determined by the voting public, the CVLUX recognition is a prestigious accolade that honors only the best of the best in the Central Valley. Those who wish to vote for Riverstone may cast their ballots online by visiting www.cvlux.com/luxuryawards. Voting will continue until December 13th, 2019, and the winners will be announced at the CVLUX Luxury Awards in January.

“We’re once again very honored to receive another nomination for this well-regarded distinction,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “It’s always nice to win awards (and we’ve picked up a number of them over the last few years), but for us, what’s most meaningful is to simply create the kind of community that people just can’t wait to come home to.”

A total of five national and local homebuilders are currently crafting just about every conceivable notion of home at Riverstone within the community’s first two neighborhoods—the Lodge District and the Town Center District.

Many new amenities are coming to the Lodge District neighborhood, a family-friendly enclave anchored by residents’ favorite hangout: the central community clubhouse known as The Lodge. Two more neighborhood parks are on the way (which will bring the total to five).

For even more outdoor fun, Riverstone’s network of hiking and biking trails are anticipated to open soon, which are planned to eventually link all of the community’s residential districts together. The first trail completed is expected to intersect existing agricultural lands, and extend to an overlook affording picturesque orchard vistas.

“Riverstone has so many different amenities…the gyms, the pools, The Lodge—and everything is so thoughtful and planned out,” said Riverstone homeowner Beth Murdock. “But my favorite amenity has to be the parks. They just have so much variety, and it helps get the kids out to play and connect with the neighbors. The homes are great, but it’s the amenities outside the house that make Riverstone that much more special.”

Helping to ensure that Riverstone’s youngest residents receive a quality education, Golden Valley Unified serves the community, which is one of the highest performing school districts in the Central Valley. Comprising nine schools serving nearly 2,000 students, Golden Valley USD maintains an exceptional student-teacher ratio of 24:1, and was named a Silver Award recipient for Best High Schools from U.S. News & World Report.

“We moved both our kids into Golden Valley Unified, and we’ve been thrilled with our experience,” said Riverstone homeowner Brian Enos. “The class sizes are low. Opportunities and course offerings are high, and our kids are asked to participate in as many things as possible. I feel like that’s what school at the childhood age is all about.”

The opportunity for a Golden Valley USD education will soon be available within Riverstone’s Lodge District residential neighborhood with the addition of a brand-new elementary school. Anticipated to open in time for the 2021 school year, the innovative campus—which will be within walking and biking distance from Riverstone’s new homes—is planned to feature tech-forward 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, a large outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes, as well as commercial and mixed-use space including office, service and retail. Amenities at Riverstone are anticipated to include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, multiple community clubhouses, hiking and biking trails, a dog park, a community farm, historic olive and citrus groves, a sustainable water supply, and on-site schools.
