Riverstone Nominated for Third CVLUX Award

September 11, 2020

The accolades just keep coming for the 2,000-acre masterplan of Riverstone. The developers of the Madera County community were honored to be named the winners of the CVLUX Community of the Year Award in 2019 and 2020—and Riverstone has just been nominated to receive the award again.

Featuring a variety of popular stores, fast casual dining options and more, the upcoming Riverwalk retail destination will bring everyday conveniences close to home. Image is an artist’s rendition.
Riverstone’s future on-site school—Stone Creek Elementary—is planned to feature 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, an outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex.

Determined by the voting public, the CVLUX recognition is a prestigious award that honors only the best of the best in the Central Valley. Those who wish to vote for Riverstone may cast their ballots online by visiting www.cvlux.com/vote. Voting will close on December 18th, 2020, and the winners will be announced at the CVLUX Luxury Awards on January 22nd, 2021.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be nominated for a third time and feel so grateful that the voting public gave Riverstone the win these past two years,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “A ‘three-peat’ would be wonderful…especially for our enthusiastic, dedicated staff members and homebuilder partners who work tirelessly to make Riverstone a truly exceptional place to spend a lifetime.”

Riverstone is a community that has won its fair share of awards, especially recognition from real estate and homebuilding organizations. In 2018, the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) named Riverstone America’s Best Master-Planned Community. The NAHB also recognized Riverstone in 2016 with the Gold Award for “On the Boards Community”, honoring the development for excellence in design.

New-home variety is one reason behind Riverstone’s award-winning ways. With a large selection of new homes in all kinds of sizes, styles and prices, the community has something for everyone from homebuilders that include Bonadelle Neighborhoods, Crown Homes, Lennar, Wathen Castanos Homes and Woodside Homes. Riverstone will also be adding another homebuilder to its well-regarded team. Further details will be announced soon.

Helping to ensure that Riverstone’s youngest residents receive a quality education, Golden Valley Unified serves the community, which is one of the highest performing school districts in the Central Valley. Comprising nine schools serving nearly 2,000 students, Golden Valley USD maintains an exceptional student-teacher ratio of 24:1 and was named a Silver Award recipient for Best High Schools from U.S. News & World Report.

The opportunity for an on-site Golden Valley USD education will soon be available at Riverstone’s upcoming school campus—Stone Creek Elementary. Construction is currently in full swing on the 15.5-acre campus, putting the school right on track for its planned opening in time for the 2021 school year.

Situated only a short walk or bike ride away from Riverstone’s neighborhoods of homes, the innovative Stone Creek Elementary campus is planned to feature tech-forward 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, an outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex.

Perhaps the biggest news of all at Riverstone is its planned one-million-square-foot mixed-use lifestyle retail destination known as Riverwalk. Envisioned to include commercial, Class-A office and retail space on two parcels located at Avenue 12 and Highway 41 just north of Fresno, Riverwalk is planned to provide visitors with a one-of-a-kind retail experience. Construction at Riverwalk is currently underway and the project’s retail tenants are expected to be announced in the near future. Riverwalk’s first stores are anticipated to open Spring 2021.

“We simply can’t wait for the debut of Riverwalk,” Riverstone’s Tim Jones added. “With lots of comfortable, open-air gathering spaces and a great mix of shopping, dining and entertainment, we envision it becoming a fun and vibrant social epicenter for the entire region.”

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Coming soon is the one-million-square-foot Riverwalk mixed-use lifestyle retail destination. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and the on-site Stone Creek Elementary school belonging to the award-winning Golden Valley Unified School District.
