Enjoying Riverstone’s Old Farm Trail

July 22, 2022

Central Valley family fun is often enjoyed on hikes and bike rides, and that’s the idea behind the new private trail network that has just debuted at Riverstone, the 2,000-acre master-planned community just north of Fresno. The first section of Riverstone’s Old Farm Trail is officially open, and resident families have already begun to explore its scenic beauty.

The first section of the Old Farm Trail is now open, an exciting hiking and biking trail through beautiful scenery reserved exclusively for Riverstone residents.
July 31st is the deadline to nominate Riverstone for CVLUX 2023 Community of the Year. To vote, visit www.cvlux.com/nomination.

An exciting family-oriented amenity that’s been many years in the making, the Old Farm Trail, when completed in its entirety, is expected to intersect existing agricultural lands and extend to an overlook affording picturesque orchard vistas. A series of engaging outposts is being considered as a possible amenity along the trails, which could offer places for a workout, a picnic, or just a spot to relax while connecting to the natural soulfulness of the land.

The trail system is extensive—and exclusive. It’s available only to Riverstone residents and accessible via a special key fob. In the future, the private trails are envisioned to eventually link all of Riverstone’s residential districts together, creating a walk- and bike-friendly masterplan inviting easier connectivity as well as more social interaction and outdoor family activity.

“We’ve always been mindful about giving residents plenty of ways to get outside and have fun,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “Feeling better physically and mentally is so important nowadays, which is why we continue to introduce outdoor-focused amenities where it’s easy to get a little exercise and gather with family, friends and neighbors.”

In addition to trails, Riverstone also offers resident families a sizable variety of neighborhood parks. Conveniently situated a short walk or bike ride away from every home, the parks feature nearly everything imaginable for all ages. Families can enjoy swings, slides, climbing structures, big grassy lawns, barbecue areas with shaded seating, even a bocce ball court and an enclosed mini field for soccer and field hockey games.

Riverstone would like to remind its residents as well as the public that the nominations for the prestigious CVLUX Luxury Awards are now open—and the community would be honored to receive another nomination. Those who’d like to nominate Riverstone to receive the CVLUX 2023 Community of the Year Award are encouraged to vote by visiting www.cvlux.com/nomination by July 31st, 2022.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Coming soon is the one-million-square-foot Riverwalk mixed-use lifestyle retail destination. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and much more.
