Summers are Sociable at Riverstone

June 26, 2022

A lively and welcoming sense of community has always been a highlight of life at Riverstone, the 2,000-acre master-planned community just north of Fresno. Now that summer’s here, the sociable togetherness is in full swing as neighbors of all ages are taking advantage of Riverstone’s regular offering of programs and exciting summertime events and activities.

Most of Riverstone’s sociable summer fun takes place at The Lodge community clubhouse, a unique indoor-outdoor venue comfortable enough to call your second living room.
Whether it’s a fun and fast Rapid Bingo event or Movie Nights for the whole family, it happens around the resort-style pool at The Lodge.

“We’ve always been the kind of place that loves to celebrate, but June in particular has been an especially celebratory month for us with lots of fun things on the calendar,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “It’s been great to see so many families coming out again to enjoy the warmer weather, each other’s company, and all our indoor-outdoor amenities while celebrating our truly unique way of life.”

This month saw the first-ever annual Riverstone Cornhole Tournament as well as a National Donut Day celebration that offered free donuts to residents. An exciting culinary roundup known as Food Truck Fridays is scheduled to take place every Friday night just outside The Lodge community clubhouse all summer long. A recently held Food Truck Friday featured a mouthwatering array of local foodie favorites both savory and sweet—everything from Fury Hot Chicken and the fusion burgers of Bob’s & Brew’s, to Dippin’ Dots, Oh My Crepes and the miniature pancakes of Yummy Minis.

The first Rapid Bingo event is planned for June 28th at the resort-style pool at The Lodge. As its name implies, it’s a fun summer party in which participants play fast rounds of bingo for the chance to win valuable gift cards.

Also coming up at The Lodge will be the return of Movie Nights at the Pool. As one of the most popular and well-attended events at Riverstone, the fun and refreshingly cool get-togethers are the stuff of summertime dreams. Cinemagoers can watch “dive-in” movies under the stars from the comfort of their own raft or other floatable water toy.

Getting kids out of the house is the notion behind Riverstone’s Kids Camps, which will offer fun, kid-sized experiences in soccer and other sports as well as creative pursuits such as painting.

The Lodge at Riverstone—the community’s first resort-style clubhouse located in the Lodge District residential neighborhood—is the social epicenter for all kinds of get-togethers. In addition to seasonal, community-wide events, the helpful Events Coordinator at The Lodge is available to help residents plan their very own family celebrations—whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or some other milestone.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Coming soon is the one-million-square-foot Riverwalk mixed-use lifestyle retail destination. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and much more.
