Slip into Summer at Riverstone

June 24, 2022

Summer has officially begun, and that’s always great news for residents of Riverstone, the 2,000-acre master-planned community just north of Fresno. Whether it’s active family fun and adventure or quiet relaxation, the community offers a multitude of ways to enjoy the unique days and evenings of summertime.

Adventure Park is one of five parks situated in Riverstone’s Lodge District neighborhood. Designed for all kinds of family fun, the parks are within walking distance of the community’s new-home collections.
Memorable summer evenings are in store at The Lodge, Riverstone’s inaugural community clubhouse featuring a resort-style pool and spa, a children’s pool and splash pad, and much more.

“When you have the wide variety of family-friendly amenities we enjoy here at Riverstone, it’s pretty easy to slip into a summer state of mind,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “So much of life here has been designed to take place outdoors…and that’s a perfect fit for summer. Whether it’s riding bikes, kicking the ball around at one of our many parks, or relaxing in a poolside cabana at The Lodge, our amenities set the stage for a lifetime of summer memories.”

For many resident families, The Lodge at Riverstone is the central hub for summer fun. Showcasing a contemporary-agrarian architectural style that takes its inspiration from the west’s historic National Park lodges, the resort-style community clubhouse is a true crowd pleaser for every member of the family.

Much like an extension of residents’ homes, the creatively imagined venue is an inviting hangout that’s comfortable enough to call your second living room. Within The Lodge’s expansive interior spaces, Riverstone families are free to enjoy an array of exceptional amenities including a Great Room and flexible gathering places with WiFi, a spacious demonstration kitchen, and a state-of-the-art Fitness Center—an innovative, fitness trainer-designed facility offering advanced exercise equipment as well as free weights.

Just outside, The Lodge offers an outdoor bar with firepits, a community garden, and a resort-style pool and spa surrounded by comfortable poolside cabanas. For unlimited summertime splashing, the children’s pool and splash pad are reserved exclusively for Riverstone’s youngest residents. Family picnics—or just about any other fun summertime activity—are perfect for Riverstone’s collection of neighborhood parks. Conveniently situated a short walk or bike ride away from every home, the parks feature nearly everything you can imagine. Families can enjoy swings, slides, climbing structures, big grassy lawns, barbecue areas with shaded seating, even an enclosed mini field for soccer and field hockey games.

The “dog days of summer” are ideal for Central Bark, Riverstone’s dog park. Featuring trees, dog fountains and open-space areas ideal for running, frolicking and disc catching, the park offers all sorts of tail-wagging fun—as well as the lively camaraderie of Riverstone’s dog-loving residents. Unlike other dog parks, Central Bark features separate areas for small dogs and big dogs, both with their own separate, gated entry. The unique design ensures that both the dogs and their owners are able to enjoy a better, safer park-going experience.

Summer dining at the next-door Riverwalk retail destination can be enjoyed at Papi’s Mex Grill, a local favorite that has been serving authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine in the Valley for nearly a decade. The restaurant joins a growing number of other retailers that are now open at Riverwalk, including Dutch Bros. Coffee, Judy’s Donuts and a Fresh Fill food market with an in-store Juice It Up!

Family bike rides go hand in hand with summer, and the pastime will soon be enjoyed along Riverstone’s future network of hiking and biking trails. Construction is underway on the start of the exciting trail system, which is a highly anticipated offering that has been many years in the making. An exclusive amenity available only to Riverstone residents and accessible via a special key fob, the private trails are envisioned to eventually link all of Riverstone’s residential districts together.

The first trail completed in Riverstone’s extensive trail network, Old Farm Trail, is expected to intersect existing agricultural lands and extend to an overlook affording picturesque orchard vistas. A series of engaging outposts is being considered as a possible amenity along the trails, which could offer places for a workout, a picnic, or just a spot to relax while connecting to the natural soulfulness of the land.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Coming soon is the one-million-square-foot Riverwalk mixed-use lifestyle retail destination. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and much more.
