Riverstone: Thankful for the 3rd Win

April 16, 2021

For the third consecutive year, the 2,000-acre masterplan of Riverstone has won the CVLUX Community of the Year Award, a prestigious accolade determined by the voting public that honors only the best of the best in the Central Valley.

The Lodge at Riverstone is a resort-style community clubhouse unlike any other. The venue offers two swimming pools and a spa with poolside cabanas, a demonstration kitchen, a state-of-the-art Fitness Center, an outdoor bar with firepits and more.
Riverstone’s walkable neighborhoods feature a multitude of parks ideal for family fun including Adventure Park with play structures, climbing boulders, three different slides and grassy areas for all kinds of kid-sized fun.

“We were happy just to be nominated for a third time, and we’re absolutely thrilled to have won the award again,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “We’re all very grateful to the voting public for making Riverstone their top pick these past three years. This unique ‘three-peat’ victory is a wonderful honor that underscores the passion and commitment of everyone on our team. I’d like to thank all the people who work hard to make Riverstone a great place to call home—from our staff members, homebuilder partners and teachers and administrative staff of Golden Valley Unified School District, to our construction crews working on our upcoming on-site elementary school and Riverwalk retail destination. And of course, I owe a special thank-you to all our Riverstone residents and HOA team who managed to get through a challenging 2020 in fun and creative ways…like with our very memorable Christmas Golf Cart Parade.”

New-home variety is one reason behind Riverstone’s award-winning ways. With a large selection of new homes in all kinds of sizes, styles and prices, the community has something for everyone. Riverstone now offers new-home designs from a total of six homebuilders including Bonadelle Neighborhoods, Crown Homes, Lennar, Wathen Castanos Homes, Wilson Homes and Woodside Homes.

A quality education will soon be right around the corner from home at Riverstone’s future on-site school: Stone Creek Elementary. Right on track to open for the 2021 school year, and belonging to Madera’s #1 school district—Golden Valley Unified—the innovative 15.5-acre campus is planned to feature tech-forward 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, an outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex.

Enrollment is now open for the 2021 school year. To sign up and enroll, email Shellie at sroth@gvusd.org or call the GVUSD main office at 559-645-3570. However, the biggest current news at Riverstone is its upcoming mixed-use lifestyle retail destination known as Riverwalk. First-phase construction continues for the creatively imagined, outdoor-centric development, which is anticipated to comprise one million square feet of space and offer a one-of-a-kind, live-work-shop-dine-play dynamic unique to the North Fresno area.

A number of Riverwalk’s first retail tenants have already been announced. Coming soon will be Dutch Bros. Coffee and two local favorites—Papi’s Mex Grill and Judy’s Donuts. In addition to the recent CVLUX honors, Riverstone has been the recipient of a number of other awards including recognition from real estate and homebuilding organizations. In 2018, the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) named Riverstone America’s Best Master-Planned Community. The NAHB also recognized Riverstone in 2016 with the Gold Award for “On the Boards Community”, honoring the development for excellence in design.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and the on-site Stone Creek Elementary school belonging to the award-winning Golden Valley Unified School District.

For more information about the new-home community of Riverstone and its collections of new homes from Bonadelle Neighborhoods, Crown Homes, Lennar, Wathen Castanos Homes, Wilson Homes and Woodside Homes, homebuyers are encouraged to tour the builders’ Model Homes or visit the community’s website at www.RiverstoneCA.com and add their name to the Interest List.
