It’s All Happening at Riverstone

March 1, 2020

With an upcoming on-site school, the announcement of a new homebuilder joining the team, and the winning of another prestigious award, the new year is getting off to a tremendous start for Riverstone, the 2,000-acre master-planned community just north of Fresno.

Riverstone’s future on-site school—Stone Creek Elementary—is planned to feature 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, an outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex.
Featuring outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, a resort-style pool and spa, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen and more, The Lodge is a fun, inviting hangout for Riverstone residents.

Riverstone was just named—for the second year in a row—the winner of the CVLUX Community of the Year Award. The well-regarded accolade, which is determined by the voting public, honors only the best of the best in the Central Valley.

“We’re all very pleased to win this noteworthy award for a second time,” said Riverstone’s Tim Jones. “But it simply wouldn’t be possible without the continual support of countless people. We’d like to thank our residents, our employees, our homebuilder partners and contractors, and the greater community for this honorable recognition. We feel so grateful to be able to serve the Valley and play a part in helping local families realize a remarkable quality of life. As I’ve said before, what’s most meaningful to us is to create the kind of community that people just can’t wait to come home to.”

Since a quality education is extremely important for today’s families, Riverstone chose to develop its community in the Golden Valley School District. The award-winning district is the best in Madera County, and ranks in the top two in the Clovis, Fresno and Madera school districts.

All the great qualities of Golden Valley USD will soon be a stone’s throw away from home at Stone Creek Elementary—which just broke ground in January. Now under construction and anticipated to open August 2021, the innovative 15.5-acre campus is planned to feature tech-forward 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, an outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex. It will be the first elementary school built under Golden Valley USD (the district broke away from Madera Unified School District in 1998).

Any enrollment inquiries for Stone Creek Elementary or questions about Golden Valley USD can be directed to Aimee Beintker at abeintker@gvusd.org.

Also on its way to Riverstone is a new homebuilder—Woodside Homes. The addition brings the total number of Riverstone homebuilders to six, all offering one of the Valley’s widest selections of new homes for every type of home-buying family.

As one of the top 30 homebuilders in the U.S., and celebrating 43 years in business, Woodside Homes designs and builds single-family homes for move-up and entry-level buyers. The company is dedicated to being “Better by Design,” delivering an exceptional experience to every customer and acting as a trustworthy, knowledgeable guide throughout the home-buying process. Priding itself on helping people fulfill their desires for a more enjoyable and fulfilling lifestyle, Woodside Homes’ Central Valley Division over the last 16 years has built nearly 4,000 homes to create new neighborhoods in Fresno, Clovis, Fowler, Hanford, Lemoore, Dinuba, Visalia, Tulare, Delano and Bakersfield.

Woodside Homes’ level of quality is a national standout. Last month, the company’s Central Valley Division was honored to receive Quality Built’s prestigious 2019 National Quality of Construction Building Envelope Award for providing the top building envelope quality of any homebuilding division across the nation.

At Riverstone, Woodside Homes will be showcasing new collections of beautiful, innovative residences and personalization options to help homebuyers fulfill their desires and complement their extraordinary lives.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Coming soon is the one-million-square-foot Riverwalk mixed-use lifestyle retail destination. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and the on-site Stone Creek Elementary school belonging to the award-winning Golden Valley Unified School District.

For more information about the new-home community of Riverstone and its collections of new homes from Bonadelle Neighborhoods, Crown Homes, D.R.
