More Daylight, More Playtime at Riverstone

March 13, 2022

As we all know, Daylight Saving Time has arrived. It’s that special time of the year when we “spring forward” one hour, giving us all a little extra sunshine to fill our day. It’s especially good news for those living at Riverstone, the 2,000-acre master-planned community just north of Fresno. With parks, trails and an ever-growing abundance of family-oriented amenities, Riverstone is the place where more and more families are enjoying a life of active fun in the great outdoors.

Designed for all kinds of family fun, Riverstone’s five neighborhood parks are situated within walking distance of the community’s new-home collections.
With summer just around the corner, Riverstone residents will be lounging poolside at The Lodge, the community’s creatively imagined, resort-style clubhouse.

Riverstone offers a total of five neighborhood parks and all are situated a short walk away from its wide-ranging collections of new homes. With everything from kid- and toddler-sized play structures, barbecue areas and shaded picnic benches, to Bocce Ball, pickleball courts and even an enclosed mini soccer field, the parks offer countless ways to enjoy the day.

Since dogs are family members too, Central Bark—Riverstone’s much-loved dog park—is the perfect meet-up place to enjoy the extra sunshine with fellow dog-loving residents. The park’s amenities are geared for fido fun, and include trees, creative dog fountains and open-space areas ideal for running, frolicking and disc catching. Unlike other dog parks, Central Bark features separate areas for small dogs (Little Bark) and big dogs (Big Bark), both with their own separate, gated entry. The unique design ensures that both the dogs and their owners are able to enjoy a better, safer park-going experience.

More daily sunshine means more opportunities for a leisurely hike or bike ride, an activity that will soon be enjoyed on Riverstone’s future network of hiking and biking trails. Construction is underway on the start of the exciting trail system, which is a highly anticipated offering that has been many years in the making. An exclusive amenity available only to Riverstone residents and accessible via a special key fob, the private trails are envisioned to eventually link all of Riverstone’s residential districts together.

The first trail completed in Riverstone’s extensive trail network, Old Farm Trail, is expected to intersect existing agricultural lands and extend to an overlook affording picturesque orchard vistas. A series of engaging outposts is being considered as a possible amenity along the trails, which could offer places for a workout, a picnic, or just a spot to relax while connecting to the natural soulfulness of the land.

When the longer days turn warmer in the summer months, residents are sure to while away the days and nights at The Lodge, a truly one-of-a-kind resort-style clubhouse located in the heart of the Lodge District residential neighborhood.

Within the expansive interior spaces of The Lodge are a multitude of exceptional amenities, including a Great Room and flexible gathering spaces with WiFi, a demonstration kitchen and a state-of-the-art Fitness Center offering advanced exercise equipment as well as free weights. Just outside, The Lodge features a resort-style pool and spa with poolside cabanas, a children’s pool and splash pad, an outdoor bar with firepit conversation areas and a community garden.

Also situated within The Lodge community clubhouse is the Gear Barn, a unique outfitters amenity exclusively for Riverstone residents. It offers a rental program where families can get the equipment and information they need for a wide variety of on- and off-site adventures—everything from kayaking, camping and fishing to hiking and Sierra snow skiing.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes. Coming soon is the one-million-square-foot Riverwalk mixed-use lifestyle retail destination. Amenities at Riverstone include walkable neighborhoods, parks and open space, a dog park, a sustainable water supply and The Lodge community clubhouse with resort-style swimming pools, a trainer-designed fitness center, demonstration kitchen, Gear Barn, outdoor gathering spaces with firepits, and ongoing monthly activities such as self-defense classes, book clubs, arts and crafts, specialty meal cooking classes and more. Future amenities are anticipated to include hiking and biking trails, a community farm and much more.
