Riverstone’s School Set to Open This Fall

All the planning and hard work will soon pay off for the master-planned community of Riverstone and Golden Valley Unified School District as they prepare to open their innovative 15.5-acre campus—Stone Creek Elementary—for the 2021 school year.

Shellie Roth, the new principal of Riverstone’s Stone Creek Elementary, was previously assistant principal at the district’s Webster Elementary, a California Distinguished School.

Stone Creek Elementary is planned to feature 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces and an outdoor amphitheater.

Available to all families living throughout the Central Valley, enrollment is now open for the K-6th grade on-site school. Beginning on February 1st at The Lodge at Riverstone, the school’s new principal—Shellie Roth—will be holding office hours Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm to assist with enrollment. Interested parents are encouraged to visit and pick up their registration packets. During that time, parents of kindergarteners may make a student assessment appointment, which are scheduled to take place at the office on Thursday, February 25th. Just a short walk or bike ride away from Riverstone’s new-home collections, Stone Creek Elementary is planned to feature tech-forward 21st century classrooms, a state-of-the-art Library/Media Center, a dedicated music room, outdoor learning spaces, an outdoor amphitheater and a dynamic sports complex with the highest-quality ball fields and playgrounds.

Athletics are strong as well. Over the years, teams at the district’s high school—Liberty High School—have won multiple league championships and CIF Section Championships.

In addition to a brand-new on-site school, 2021 will also see the debut of Riverstone’s Riverwalk—the vibrant, new indoor-outdoor retail lifestyle destination offering a one-of-a-kind live-work-shop-dine-play experience. The one-million-square-foot, mixed-use destination will offer a collection of retail stores, restaurants, a movie theater and hotel, and a unique enclave of above-retail condominiums. Riverwalk’s first tenants—which include Dutch Bros. Coffee and local favorite, Papi’s Mex Grill—are anticipated to open Summer 2021.

Situated in the heart of the region’s path of growth, Riverstone—when complete—will total approximately 6,578 single-family, attached and multi-family homes.
